In a speech delivered after being sworn in following his re-election as Parliament Speaker, Qalibaf said: "There is no trust in America's words and promises. Our sole criterion is achieving tangible results before we fulfill our obligations in return," according to the Reuters news agency.

He emphasized that Iran will not bow to threats, stating, "We stand together against attempts to divide Iran, as America seeks to undermine the country's unity through economic pressure."

He pointed out that the Iranian people understand the sensitivity of the current stage and continue to stand resilient in the face of challenges, adding that "the enemy aims to incite strife and division after failing militarily."

The Iranian Parliament Speaker further explained that destructive political conflicts must be avoided, and national interests must be prioritized.
