Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced on Monday that several countries in the region have declared their readiness to cooperate on infrastructure projects in Iran.

During a meeting with officials from the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development on Monday, Pezeshkian emphasized the necessity of developing an effective economic diplomacy and expanding regional interactions with neighboring countries.
He explained that utilizing the capacities of neighboring countries to develop transport infrastructure, public transit, and joint investments constitutes one of the main pillars of the country's economic policy.
The Iranian President pointed to the readiness of certain regional states to cooperate on Iranian infrastructure projects, calling for the targeted use of these capacities to develop international corridors, as well as railway and road projects.
Iran, the United States, and Israel reached a ceasefire on April 8 following nearly 40 days of fighting, which began with joint US-Israeli strikes on Tehran and other Iranian cities on February 28.
Following the truce, Iranian and US delegations held a single round of peace talks in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, on April 11 and 12, but it did not result in an agreement.
Over the past few weeks, reports have indicated that the two sides have exchanged several proposed plans via Pakistan outlining terms to end the conflict.
