The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) considered U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks warning the movement against using Israeli prisoners in its custody “as human shields” to be a bias in favor of Israeli propaganda.

In a statement released on Tuesday night, the movement said that Trump’s comments regarding the Israeli army’s attack on Gaza and the condition of Israeli prisoners reflect a blatant alignment with Zionist propaganda.
Hamas added that the U.S. administration is aware that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is destroying all chances of reaching an agreement that could lead to stopping the brutal extermination war in the Gaza Strip.
The statement continued: “The U.S. administration knows that war criminal Netanyahu is working to eliminate all opportunities for an agreement that would lead to the release of prisoners,” noting that Trump’s remarks disregard the deaths of approximately 65,000 innocent civilians in Gaza, most of whom were women and children.
Hamas held Washington responsible for escalating the brutal extermination war through support and misinformation policies aimed at covering up the occupation’s war crimes. It stated that “war criminal Netanyahu bears full responsibility for the lives of his prisoners in the Gaza Strip.”
The movement added that the systematic destruction and fascist extermination campaign in Gaza also threatens the lives of the captured Israeli soldiers, emphasizing that the fate of the Israeli army prisoners in Gaza “is determined by terrorist Netanyahu’s government.”
Hamas stated that Washington is aware that Netanyahu is destroying the chances of any agreement, most recently through the attempted assassination of the negotiating delegation in Qatar during discussions over Trump’s latest proposal.
Trump, on Monday, posted on the social media platform Truth Social: “I just read a news report stating that Hamas moved the hostages out of the area to use them as human shields against the Israeli ground attack.”
