A medical official in US President Donald Trump’s administration affirmed on Tuesday that the President enjoys "stunning" health, after a routine medical examination failed to dispel questions surrounding his physical condition.

Mehmet Oz, the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, was speaking to reporters following the release of a medical report on Trump’s health last Friday.
"If you look at these records, they are stunning," Oz, widely known as "Dr. Oz" from the television show he hosted for over a decade, said during a White House press briefing.
He added, "This amount of energy and this level of mental focus do not come from nowhere (...) and the President possesses a unique ability to continue working actively and vigorously throughout the day."
Notably, Trump, who will turn 80 on June 14, is the oldest person ever to hold the US presidency. A medical report released last week stated that he is in "excellent" health but needs to lose weight.
Oz dismissed questions regarding why Trump underwent three "annual" medical exams over the past year, compared to just one per year for his predecessor, Joe Biden.
"I truly think he is keen to ensure that everything is going perfectly," Oz said, adding that Trump is "extremely meticulous."
Certain issues, such as visible bruising on Trump’s hands, swelling in his ankles, and apparent drowsiness during some meetings, have raised additional questions concerning his health.
