Namrouqa emphasized that the ministry has communicated with ambassadors and diplomatic missions to ascertain the positions of various countries regarding travel to the Kingdom, with the aim of resolving existing restrictions and advisories. She noted that promotional events will be organized in numerous cities worldwide to market Jordan and attract visitors.

For his part, the Chairman of the Senate's Tourism and Heritage Committee, Michael Nazzal, expressed his hope for an increase in the number of inbound tourists to the Kingdom. He stressed during the meeting the necessity of taking action to distance Jordan from classifications that warn against traveling to it.

Nazzal added that the tourism sector accounts for approximately 15% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with ambitions and aspirations to raise this figure to 20% by the year 2030.
