The number of Jordanians traveling abroad for tourism purposes reached 265,760 during January and February of this year.
According to official data reviewed by Al-Mamlaka TV, this represents an 8% decline compared to the same period last year, when 288,834 departures were recorded.

In January, the number of outbound tourists stood at 161,709, while in February it reached 104,051, bringing the total to 265,760.
Regarding domestic tourism through the Urdunna Jannah program, the Ministry of Tourism stated in May 2026 that the initiative saw strong demand within its first month, recording around 51,000 participants across 1,422 trips and buses. The program also involved 1,422 tour guides, 117 travel agencies, 81 restaurants, and 63 hotels and tourist camps. Additionally, 445 participants booked directly using their private vehicles.
Earlier data from the Central Bank of Jordan showed a 6.3% decline in tourism spending by Jordanians and residents abroad during the first quarter of 2026, reaching $459.7 million. As a result, net tourism income decreased by 2.8% in the same period, totaling $1.19 billion.
