Amman’s Greater Municipality announced a number of temporary traffic diversions in coordination with the Traffic Department as part of its infrastructure improvement plan.

The diversions include the closure of the Jamal Abdel Nasser Square Bridge, commonly known as the Interior Circle (Dakhiliya Circle) Bridge, as part of works to replace and rehabilitate lighting towers at the site.
The bridge will be closed in both directions from midnight until 8:00 AM, until the scheduled works are completed in accordance with the highest public safety standards.
Alternative traffic will be routed through the circle itself, in coordination with the Traffic Department and the Traffic Operations Division. Specialized teams will be present on-site to provide guidance and regulate traffic flow to ensure road safety and minimize congestion.
Airport Road Diversion Toward Seventh Circle
As part of road maintenance and paving works, traffic coming from Airport Road toward Seventh Circle will be diverted as follows:
Vehicles traveling from Airport Road will:
Turn right at the Total gas station onto Mohammad Al-Zughoul Street
Then turn left onto Abdullah Hajes Al-Abadi Street
Then turn right onto Al-Maha Street
Then turn left onto Al-Hashemeen Street
Then turn left toward Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa Street
Then turn right onto Queen Zein Al Sharaf Street
Make a turn at the traffic signal
Then return toward Seventh Circle and the Sweifieh area
Eighth Circle Diversion
The municipality also announced the closure of the shoulder near Eighth Circle for traffic coming from People’s Circle (Duwar Al-Shaab) along King Abdullah II Street, due to maintenance work on drainage manholes.
Traffic will be diverted:
Right before the shoulder onto Ahmad Aqleh Al-Nsour Street
Then left onto Hussein Khawaja Street
Then left onto Shahada Mousa Abdeh Street
Continuing toward the Bayader area via Hosni Soubar Street
Traffic heading toward Zahran Street (Seventh Circle) will be redirected:
Over the bridge toward Nahda Circle
Make a U-turn
Return to Eighth Circle
Then turn right toward Zahran Street
The Greater Amman Municipality urged drivers to follow traffic instructions and warning signs and use alternative routes to avoid congestion during the implementation period.
