Jordan on Tuesday condemned the infiltration of an armed group affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps into Bubiyan Island, describing the incident as an attempt to carry out hostile acts against the sisterly State of Kuwait, a blatant violation of Kuwaiti sovereignty, a serious threat to its security and stability, and a clear breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

Earlier on Tuesday, Kuwait announced the arrest of four infiltrators affiliated with Iran’s Revolutionary Guard who attempted to enter the country by sea.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense said one member of the armed forces was injured during a confrontation with the infiltrators.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior stated that, during questioning, the detained individuals admitted to belonging to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and confessed they had been assigned to infiltrate Bubiyan Island aboard a specially rented fishing boat to carry out hostile acts against Kuwait.
The infiltrators reportedly engaged in a clash with Kuwaiti armed forces, resulting in the injury of one serviceman, while two other suspects fled the scene.
