Jordan’s Department of Statistics released its monthly report on Thursday on the general industrial production quantity index, showing that industrial production volumes in March 2026 increased by 50.2 percent compared with February 2026, and by 1.10 percent compared with March 2025.اضافة اعلان

The report also showed that the general industrial production quantity index for the first three months of 2026 rose by 0.33 percent compared with the same period last year.

The Department noted that the base year for the index has been updated to 2018 = 100, replacing the previous base year of 2010 = 100.

The industrial production index for the first quarter of 2026 reached 87.98 points, compared with 87.69 points during the same period in 2025.

On a monthly basis, the index for March 2026 stood at 88.77 points, compared with 87.81 points in March 2025.

Compared with the previous month, the March 2026 index also rose from 86.61 points in February to 88.77 points.

Comparing cumulative figures for the first quarter of 2026 with the same period in 2025:

Manufacturing industries increased by 0.05 percent (88.7 percent relative weight)
Extractive industries increased by 2.67 percent (5.4 percent relative weight)
Electricity production increased by 2.94 percent (5.9 percent relative weight)

In the year-on-year monthly comparison for March 2026 versus March 2025:

Manufacturing industries rose by 0.67 percent
Electricity production rose by 10.32 percent
Extractive industries declined by 1.42 percent

In the month-on-month comparison for March 2026 versus February 2026:

Manufacturing industries increased by 1.59 percent
Extractive industries increased by 5.95 percent
Electricity production increased by 13.57 percent
