The Greater Amman Municipality will begin paving works on a section of Airport Road on Thursday evening, specifically the stretch heading from Airport Road toward the Seventh Circle at the Sweifieh entrance, as part of its infrastructure improvement plan.
Suleiman Al-Shammari, Executive Director of Roads at the Greater Amman Municipality, said that milling and paving works will be carried out overnight to avoid traffic congestion and ensure the work is completed efficiently.
The works will begin at 12:00 midnight tonight and continue until 8:00 AM on Friday, lasting for one day only.
Raed Al-Arjan, Director of the Roads Maintenance Department at the municipality, explained that the paving project is part of the municipality’s plans to improve road efficiency, enhance public safety for road users, and reduce traffic accidents.
He confirmed that all public safety measures will be implemented at the work site in coordination with the Traffic Department, noting that the works will require a full road closure and temporary traffic diversions.
The Greater Amman Municipality urged drivers to follow traffic guidance, comply with instructions issued by the Traffic Department, and observe warning signs to ensure their safety and maintain smooth traffic flow.
