The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has announced that it will begin receiving applications for the sale and slaughter of sacrificial animals (Adahi) for the current year starting Thursday morning, May 14, until May 21. Applications are strictly limited to the electronic portal.

GAM confirmed on Wednesday that the service will officially launch at 10:00 AM. Interested parties, including livestock owners and butcher shop proprietors, can submit their applications and process payments electronically through the official GAM website by navigating to the "Electronic Services" section and selecting the "Sacrifice Permits" window.
Requirements and Procedures
Required Documents: Personal ID for individuals and a valid professional license for butcher shop owners.
Deadline & Selection: Applications will close on May 21, followed by an electronic lottery to distribute pen locations among applicants.
Insurance Deposit: An electronic insurance deposit of 500 JOD is required. This amount is refundable provided no violations occur.
Priority: Priority in allocating pens will be given to holders of relevant professional licenses (butchers).
Designated Locations
The municipality has specified designated sites for the sale and slaughter of sacrifices to prevent random street vending, facilitate sterilization, and mitigate health hazards. The locations include:
Basman and Al-Madina: Al-Nakheel Street (parallel to Army St.) next to Umm Ammar School.
Al-Nasr and Marka: Beltway (Al-Hizam) Road near Al-Salhiyah Bridge.
Badr Nazzal, Zahran, Ras Al-Ain, and Al-Abdali: Prince Hussein Street next to Tawfiq Al-Tabbaa Circle.
Tariq: Prince Faisal Street at the intersection with Prince Nayef Street (Quarry area).
Al-Quweismeh and Al-Yarmouk: Ten Arches Street (Al-Sha’ayer Street).
Khreibet Al-Souq and Al-Muqabalayn: Al-Waqar Street near Al-Rayyan Mosque.
Wadi Al-Seer, Badr Al-Jadeeda, and Marj Al-Hamam: Al-Dhahair neighborhood, Nalchik Al-Dumayna Street.
Sweileh and Tla’ Al-Ali: Rifa’a Al-Ansari Street.
Shafa Badran, Al-Jubaiha, and Abu Nusair: Dhaifallah Al-Hamoud Street, opposite Shafa Badran Security Center.
Specific Slaughter Sites: The GAM Slaughterhouse and Al-Madounah Slaughterhouse (designated for slaughter only).
GAM emphasized that all pens, exceeding 400 in total, will be subject to strict veterinary supervision by specialized doctors to ensure compliance with health regulations and sanitary conditions.
