Jordan’s Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places has urged Jordanian pilgrims to maintain discipline, comply with the instructions of the Jordanian Hajj mission, follow the guidelines issued by the Saudi authorities, and manage their finances responsibly throughout the pilgrimage.
Ministry spokesperson Mohammad Al-Tawalbeh told Al Mamlaka that pilgrims must adhere to the health guidelines issued by the Saudi authorities, protect their personal information, avoid discussing “sensitive issues” in the holy sites and during travel, respect cultural differences and local customs, and refrain from making donations except through recognized Saudi charitable platforms. He also advised pilgrims to observe food safety measures and avoid exposed or uncovered food.
Al-Tawalbeh said the ministry has prepared a comprehensive awareness and guidance program for the 1447 AH / 2026 Hajj season, covering both the pre-departure stage and the pilgrimage period itself, through specialized committees and field programs accompanying and guiding pilgrims.
He added that the ministry has also prepared a guidebook for Hajj and Umrah rituals, as well as visits to the Prophet’s Mosque, available in both printed and electronic formats, and integrated into the “Wafd Al-Rahman” application designated for pilgrims.
Earlier, Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places Mohammad Al-Khalayleh called on members of the delegations accompanying Jordanian pilgrims to focus on serving the pilgrims and providing them with the highest levels of care.
He stressed the importance of adhering to the regulations and systems in force in Saudi Arabia and respecting the sanctity of the place and time, especially given the large crowds during the Hajj season, which require the highest levels of discipline and cooperation.
He emphasized that all participants in the Hajj season represent Jordan and reflect its civilized image.
