The source explained that ground defense systems engaged the drones while they were flying in the vicinity of the targeted areas, confirming that the attack did not result in any significant damage.

In the same context, local sources reported that air defense systems detected a number of drones belonging to the Rapid Support Forces and successfully intercepted them before they reached their potential targets.

On the ground, a military source confirmed that the Sudanese Army is continuing its advance toward the city of Kurmuk in the southeastern part of the Blue Nile State, backed by ground operations and air support. This follows the recapture of the Khor Al-Baraka, Sarkam, and Mugja areas within the state.

For their part, field sources stated that airstrikes targeted RSF positions and gatherings inside the city of Kurmuk, resulting in the destruction of a number of combat vehicles.

In another development, Al-Qahera News channel correspondent in Khartoum, Mohamed Ibrahim, reported that three people were killed due to shelling carried out by the Rapid Support Forces on the city of Dilling in South Kordofan State.

These developments come amid ongoing military clashes between the Sudanese Army and the Rapid Support Forces across several states, amidst escalating ground and air operations and a deteriorating humanitarian situation in the combat zones.
