The Ministry of Public Works and Housing will begin on Monday morning the maintenance work for the expansion joints of the Russeifa Bridge, located on the Amman Development Road. This is part of a maintenance tender for several main roads and bridges in the Central Region, funded by a loan from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.

The project includes executing maintenance and replacement works for the bridge's expansion joints according to the highest approved technical specifications, ensuring the structure's safety and sustained readiness while enhancing the service quality provided to road users.
Due to the traffic significance of the Russeifa Bridge and the high density of vehicles it accommodates, the works will be carried out without completely closing the bridge. Partial traffic diversions will be implemented by redirecting traffic to one lane while work is underway on the other, and then reversing the diversion after that section is completed, ensuring continuous traffic flow and minimizing any delays at the site.
The Ministry confirmed that the work sites have been equipped with all traffic safety elements and requirements according to approved standards, in coordination with the Public Security Directorate. It calls on citizens to adhere to warning signs, instructional guidance, and designated speed limits, and to cooperate with field crews to ensure everyone's safety and enable the technical teams to complete the work within the specified schedule.
