The victim's body, which had reportedly been killed, was found in a black bag in an empty land in Al-Arda area in Al-Balqa governorate, northwest of Amman in 2004.

The killer was found to be residing outside of the Kingdom, and an international warrant for his arrest was issued.

The case was referred to the Public Prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court, and the investigation initiated the arrest warrant issuance procedures. The main suspect was brought in, and another suspect was detained for 15 days on charges of interference and incitement to murder.
