NCSC, Int@j to host Jordan's first cybersecurity summit in September

AMMAN — The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) and the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Int@j) have signed a memorandum of understanding to organize Jordan's first cybersecurity summit. اضافة اعلان

The Dot Cyber Summit will take place in September and aims to bring together government institutions, financial institutions, banks, and Jordanian cybersecurity companies under one roof, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

What to expect at the summitThe summit will focus on a range of topics related to cybersecurity, including global cybersecurity market size, cloud security solutions, virus and malware protection, threat detection tools, security analysis, identity and access management services, fraud and hacking protection, and other services and products aimed at safeguarding cyber information and systems.

The primary goal of the summit is to strengthen Jordan's presence on the cybersecurity map by emphasizing infrastructure protection and basic digital services, said president of the NCSC Bassam Maharmeh.




The event will also serve as a meeting point for prominent figures in the cybersecurity industry, he added.

Chairman of Int@j Eid Swais said the summit will pave the way for cybersecurity advancement throughout the public and private sectors and help Jordanian enterprises regionally promote their products.

Cybersecurity Market Size According to Swais, global reports show that the global cybersecurity market size is expected to expand from $173 billion in 2022 to $266 billion in 2023.

In the Middle East and North Africa region, the cybersecurity market size amounted to $20 billion by the end of 2022 and is predicted to exceed $44 billion by 2027 due to an increase in data size, cloud computing use, and the expanding of the Internet of Things and global digital transformation.
