The National Electric Power Company has confirmed its full readiness to handle the approaching low-pressure system and the accompanying significant drop in temperatures, which is expected to increase the electrical load on the national grid.اضافة اعلان

Dr. Sofiane Bataineh, CEO of the company, stated on Monday that the company is prepared to manage the exceptional weather conditions through a comprehensive set of pre-established plans and measures designed to address various potential scenarios, ensuring the continuous supply of electricity across the Kingdom with maximum efficiency, reliability, and minimal impact from the weather system.

Bataineh added that the company’s teams have recently carried out a series of measures, including expanding several substations to increase capacity, cleaning insulators at substations and transmission lines, and maintaining electricity transmission towers.

He emphasized that the monitoring and control center, along with field teams at various sites, are on high alert to maintain the readiness of the electricity network and efficiently handle the expected weather conditions.

The CEO also highlighted the company’s preparedness to manage increased loads by inspecting transmission lines and substations, implementing round-the-clock shifts at key substations, ensuring rapid response to any emergency within a short time frame.

Bataineh confirmed the National Electric Power Company’s commitment to executing its approved plans according to the highest standards and stressed ongoing coordination with electricity distribution companies and relevant authorities to maintain the stability of the national electricity system.
