In a press statement on Sunday, Salameh added that the ministry hopes the ongoing low-pressure system, along with another expected on Monday, will bring large amounts of rainfall that would help boost dam water reserves and improve water conditions in various regions.
In a related context, Salameh warned of the possibility of flooding at Wadi Al-Karak Dam within the coming hours, as the dam is nearing full capacity, having reached its maximum storage limit of two million cubic meters.
He called on citizens, farmers, and residents living in areas downstream of Wadi Al-Karak Dam extending to the southern Jordan Valley to take the necessary precautions and adhere to the instructions and guidelines issued by the relevant authorities in order to ensure public safety.
