Jordan records 2,789 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,789 new COVID-19 cases and 17 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 12,893 and the total number of cases to 1,082,570. اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,741 cases, while Zarqa recorded 295 cases. Irbid registered 235 cases, Balqa 106 cases, Karak recorded 45 cases, Jerash recorded 61cases, and Tafileh recorded 13 cases. Madaba registered 65 cases, Aqaba 38, Ramtha 27, and Ajloun 48.

The ministry said in a statement that 98 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 94 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 27,678 according to the ministry. Out of 40,424 COVID-19 tests conducted Monday, 6.90 percent of them came back positive.
