Jordan records 14,048 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 14,048 new COVID-19 cases and 21 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 13,477 and the total number of cases to 1,450,810.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 6,998 cases, while Zarqa recorded 1,108 cases. Irbid registered 1,769 cases, Balqa 1,096 cases, Karak recorded 275 cases, Jerash recorded 1,056 cases, and Tafileh recorded 223 cases. Madaba registered 404 cases, Aqaba 201, Ramtha 267, and Ajloun 323.

The ministry said in a statement that 180 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 176 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 193,672 according to the ministry. Out of 52,297 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday, 26.86 percent of them came back positive.
