AMMAN – On Tuesday, Sami Dawud, chairman of the Jordan Post, stated that over 50 percent of e-commerce transactions are routed through the postal system in Jordan. He highlighted the ongoing efforts to enhance local postal services, ensuring alignment with global developments.اضافة اعلان

He revealed that the postal debt stood at approximately JD26 million, with a reduction of nearly JD1 million last year during a meeting with the Parliamentary Finance Committee, reported Al-Mamlaka TV.

The accumulation of debt, he explained, was a consequence of the government’s suspension of universal postal services in 2006.

According to a survey conducted in 2022 on communication and information technology usage in homes, Jordanians tend to favor private postal services over the Jordan Post.
