Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi held a phone call on Friday with his Turkish counterpart, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, to discuss the latest regional developments.
Developments on the ground and the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip topped the agenda of the call, with both sides emphasizing the need to intensify international efforts to halt escalation and ensure the protection of civilians in accordance with international law.

During their discussion, the two ministers underscored the importance of close coordination in all initiatives aimed at promoting regional security and stability.
They also reviewed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Amman and Ankara in international forums to support Arab and Islamic causes, stressing that comprehensive stability can only be achieved through fair political solutions to the crises affecting the region, in a way that fulfills the aspirations of peoples to live in peace.
