The Higher Committee for the Development of Business Inspection, chaired by Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply and Committee Chairman Yarub Al-Qudah, held its 15th meeting, during which several important topics were discussed to enhance the efficiency of inspection operations on economic establishments in Jordan.

At the start of the meeting, the committee approved the formation of a joint committee for monitoring and inspecting hazardous materials, comprising representatives from the Ministry of Interior and several relevant regulatory bodies. The goal is to strengthen control and management of hazardous materials across all governorates.
The new committee is expected to improve safety and security standards in facilities that handle hazardous materials.
The meeting also approved the extension of the work of joint committees formed under the Law on the Inspection and Oversight of Economic Activities, to further enhance coordination among regulatory agencies. Additionally, the delegation of powers among concerned entities was extended in accordance with the current delegation system.
These steps included the formation of joint inspection teams aimed at improving inspection mechanisms and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
This initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to develop inspection and oversight systems, create a safer and more transparent economic environment, and strengthen the safety of facilities while improving service quality in the local market.
