Minister of Local Administration Inspects Solid Waste Landfill in Aqaba

Engineer Walid Al-Masri, Minister of Local Administration, inspected the solid waste landfill in Aqaba Governorate on Saturday morning, reviewing the operations and services provided at the site.اضافة اعلان

During the tour, Al-Masri emphasized that the ministry will coordinate with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority to find an alternative site for the current landfill, ensuring enhanced environmental and health safety in the area and improving solid waste management efficiency in line with national plans.

He stressed the importance of finding sustainable waste management solutions that meet local development needs while protecting Aqaba’s marine and terrestrial environment, recognizing its role as a tourism and investment destination.
