Important Notice from the Traffic Patrol Department Regarding the Winter Campaign
The campaign, carried out by the Traffic Departments (Traffic, Licensing, Highway Patrol, and Environmental Police), aims to inspect vehicle readiness and ensure their technical fitness for driving on the roads during the winter season, as well as their ability to handle weather conditions such as rain, snow, and others.اضافة اعلان

During the campaign, inspections will focus on key vehicle components that affect safety, such as tires, lighting, windshields, wipers, and engine coolant. The functionality of heaters in public transport vehicles will also be checked, in addition to other elements like mudflaps on heavy vehicles or any missing parts that may compromise the vehicle’s safety or pose a risk to road users during the winter.

No violations will be issued at the start of the campaign for vehicles found with technical defects. Instead, the vehicle owner will receive a notice and a one-week grace period to correct the issue and visit any Traffic Department, Highway Patrol, or Licensing Division to verify compliance.

Vehicles that pass inspection will receive a sticker on the front windshield indicating that the vehicle is “Technically Ready.” However, if the issue is not corrected within the week, a violation will be recorded against the vehicle, and the notice will remain until the vehicle is re-inspected.
