Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan affirmed that Jordan stands by its Syrian brothers in achieving their aspirations through all available diplomatic means, and continues to assist them in various other fields—whether through civil defense, technical expertise, humanitarian aid, or cooperation in administration and beyond.

During a Cabinet session held in Jerash on Tuesday, Hassan stated, “Our relationship with the Syrian government is excellent. There is ongoing communication and cooperation across all sectors, and we have initiated highly positive consultations, with great optimism for the future.”
He added, “We played a key role in Syria over the past few days. Our aim is for Syria to rise, to be strong, stable, prosperous, and unified, and to maintain its sovereignty over its territory.”
He pointed out that the situation along the Sweida border is moving toward stability, saying, “We played a major diplomatic role in containing the crisis, and God willing, matters will stabilize, and we will move forward.”
Hassan emphasized that Jordan’s future is tied to that of the Arab neighborhood, adding, “The regional repercussions are not easy—there are major transformations around us that are clear to everyone.”
