The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission, Mousa Al-Maaytah, had informed the House that Hamza Hani Al-Toubasi would assume membership following the vacancy of MP Mohammad Al-Jarrah’s seat, after a ruling issued by the Administrative High Court. Al-Toubasi was the next candidate on the same list and within the same electoral category.

In his remarks, Al-Toubasi said that youth engagement in political parties and public life is not a secondary option, but a national necessity dictated by the current stage. He emphasized that young people represent a renewed energy capable of revitalizing political thought and contributing to the formulation of public policies.

He added: “We will not look back, and no distraction or smear campaign will affect us. The sincerity of our work is the mirror that reflects what lies in our hearts.”

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Your Excellency, Speaker of the House of Representatives,
Honorable colleagues,

Peace and God’s mercy and blessings be upon you,

It is an honor to stand under this dome, fully aware of the great responsibility entrusted to us and convinced that we are at a pivotal national stage marked by comprehensive modernization—foremost among them political modernization, which forms the cornerstone of the future of parliamentary life in Jordan.

Your Excellency,
Honorable colleagues,

Youth engagement in political parties and public life is not a secondary choice; it is a national necessity shaped by the demands of this phase. Young people represent a renewed force capable of revitalizing political thought, participating in shaping public policies, and translating the Royal vision for modernization into practical legislation that addresses economic and social challenges with realism and responsibility.

This vision is closely supported by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, whose aspirations and youth-driven outlook affirm that the future is built through organized work, clear programs, and firm belief in the rule of law and strong institutions.

Your Excellency,
Honorable colleagues,

Today, we bear a great responsibility to consolidate genuine party-based parliamentary life grounded in clear programs. I pledge to everyone who placed their trust in me and believed in the true role of youth in decision-making that I will uphold that trust and faithfully carry out my duties.

On this occasion, I extend my deepest gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the King, who embraced youth empowerment as a path, not a slogan, and has been committed to their political empowerment, believing that they are true partners in decision-making and in building the future.

I also express sincere thanks and appreciation to our Arab Army and our valiant security agencies, which have always been—and continue to be—the shield and safeguard of the nation, as well as to all state institutions.

In conclusion, may God protect our الوطن. The voice of youth will remain present and sincere. We will not look back, and no distraction or smear campaign will affect us, for the sincerity of work is the mirror that reflects what lies in our hearts.

May God protect His Majesty the King and his faithful Crown Prince.
