Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan on Sunday received the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, at the Prime Ministry.

Later today, the fifth session of the Jordanian–Qatari Joint Higher Committee is scheduled to convene at the Prime Ministry headquarters. The meeting will be co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, and Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
The committee meetings will witness the signing of a number of memoranda of understanding and executive programs aimed at serving mutual interests.
Preparatory meetings for the fifth session of the Jordanian–Qatari Joint Higher Committee began in Amman on Saturday, co-chaired by Dana Al-Zoubi, Secretary General of Jordan’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, on the Jordanian side, and Ambassador Naif Al-Emadi, Director of the Arab Affairs Department at Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the Qatari side. The meetings will discuss cooperation across several fields and submit a summary of their recommendations and outcomes to the Higher Committee.
