The programme, which will be offered at Jordan, Yarmouk and Hashemite Universities, will bring the universities under a pilot program at Mutah University to prepare university students, who want to be teachers to become certified educators equipped with the skills to deliver a high-quality learning experience.

Under the programme, the professional diploma will be given to male and female alumni, aspiring to teach 4-10 grades, and will receive additional skills on interactive teaching methods and effective classroom management.

At the beginning of the meeting, Abu Qadis expressed happiness with the achievements, coordination and continuous communication between all partners and stakeholders, and their commitment to implementing the programme, expressing thanks to the USAID for its support and implementation of this programme, and for its "distinguished" role in supporting Jordan's education sector.

"The United States is committed to investing in the tremendous potential of future teachers in Jordan, and we are proud to partner with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Jordan’s public universities to train teachers across the Kingdom to enter classrooms armed with the most creative and advanced skills," USAID Director in Jordan, Sherry F.
