The Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) has issued an urgent warning regarding the imminent overflow of the King Talal Dam within the next few hours. The dam has nearly reached its maximum storage capacity of 75 million cubic meters (100%).

The expected overflow will discharge toward the Jordan Valley (Ghor) areas and the King Abdullah Canal.
The Jordan Valley Authority has called upon all citizens, farmers, municipalities, and relevant authorities to take necessary precautions and exercise extreme caution. It strictly advised against approaching the valley’s watercourse (Wadi).
The Authority urged everyone to closely monitor the official websites of the Ministry and the Jordan Valley Authority for real-time updates on the status of dams and the probability of further overflows, as unstable weather conditions persist.
