State Security Court Begins Investigation into Martyrdom of 3 Anti-Narcotics Officers
The Attorney General of the State Security Court (SSC), Military Judge Brigadier General Ahmed Talaat Shehaltogh, announced that the SSC Public Prosecution has commenced investigation proceedings into the case concerning the martyrdom of three personnel from the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), which recently occurred in an area in East Amman.اضافة اعلان

The defendant in the aforementioned case has been charged with several offenses, including the felony of resisting officers tasked with enforcing the provisions of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law using a weapon, resulting in the death of an officer (repeated 3 times). Under the provisions of the law, this felony is punishable by the death penalty.

The investigative documents will be submitted to the SSC Attorney General to issue an indictment against the defendant once the SSC Public Prosecutor concludes investigations into the facts of the incident. These facts involve resisting law enforcement officers and criminal acts related to illicit contact with narcotics and psychotropic substances. Subsequently, the defendant will be referred to the State Security Court to stand trial for the charges brought against him in accordance with the law.
