Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Meets German State Minister for Defense

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmad Al-Huneiti, received today, Wednesday, at his office at the General Command, German State Minister for Defense Nils Hilmer and his accompanying delegation.اضافة اعلان

The two sides discussed ways to strengthen military cooperation and coordination and further develop the partnership between the two countries in a manner that serves their shared interests, supports defense capabilities, and contributes to regional security and stability.

Major General Al-Huneiti and the visiting delegation were briefed on key regional and security developments, as well as the missions carried out by the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army in addressing various challenges and threats, protecting the Kingdom’s security and sovereignty, and combating smuggling and infiltration.

The briefings also covered the humanitarian missions carried out by the armed forces in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Major General Al-Huneiti stressed the importance of the strategic partnership between Jordan and Germany and the two countries’ commitment to expanding military cooperation and exchanging expertise, strengthening their ability to address shared challenges and supporting regional security and stability.

For his part, the German State Minister for Defense praised Jordan’s role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in promoting security and stability in the region.

He commended the efforts of the Jordan Armed Forces in both military and humanitarian fields and reaffirmed Germany’s continued support for cooperation between the two friendly countries.

The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers from the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army and the German Defense Attaché in Amman.
