A NATO official stated on Wednesday that the alliance is prepared to handle any threat and will always do whatever is necessary to defend all member states. The statement came in response to questions regarding a report published by the Financial Times, which indicated that Iran might be considering attacks on US military targets in Europe if US President Donald Trump escalates the conflict.

The official added: "As was demonstrated this year when NATO air defenses successfully intercepted ballistic missiles heading toward Turkey from Iran on four separate occasions, deterrence and defense remain strong and effective," according to Reuters.
Sources close to the Iranian regime reported that Iran is weighing its options to intensify the conflict by attacking US military assets in Southeastern Europe—such as Bulgaria, which last month approved the use of Bezmer Air Base for refueling US aircraft—should President Trump escalate the war.
Two insiders within the regime told the Financial Times that Iranian forces have assessed the possibility of striking US assets in Southeastern European countries.
