During the call, Safadi renewed the Kingdom’s condemnation of the Israeli aggression against the Abu Al-Duhur military airfield in Syria’s Idlib Governorate yesterday, describing it as a flagrant violation of international law and a dangerous escalation that exposes Israel’s aggressive policy of pushing the region toward further escalation and conflict.
Safadi reaffirmed Jordan’s absolute solidarity with Syria and its support for all steps taken by the Syrian government to rebuild a free, secure and stable country, while protecting its territorial unity, sovereignty, security and the safety of its citizens.
Safadi and Al-Shaibani warned of the consequences of continued Israeli attacks on Syria for regional security and stability.
They stressed the need for the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and halt these unjustified acts of escalation, at a time when the Syrian government is focusing on rebuilding Syria and ensuring its security and stability, while pursuing the diplomatic track to address outstanding issues with Israel and achieve de-escalation.
The two ministers also affirmed the depth of the fraternal ties between the two brotherly countries and stressed the importance of the practical cooperation being achieved as part of efforts to build a strategic partnership across various fields.
Safadi and Al-Shaibani also discussed regional developments and underscored the two countries’ support for efforts aimed at achieving sustainable security and stability, ensuring that all causes of tension are addressed, while respecting international law, the sovereignty of states, the principles of good-neighborliness and non-interference in internal affairs.
