His Majesty Abdullah II of Jordan received a phone call on Sunday from Abdel Fattah el‑Sisi, President of the Egypt, during which they discussed the serious regional developments.
The two leaders stressed the need to intensify joint Arab action to confront the current challenges in a way that preserves the security and stability of countries against any threats or attacks.
King Abdullah II reaffirmed Jordan’s keenness to maintain coordination with Egypt and other Arab countries to reach a comprehensive de-escalation, warning of the danger of exploiting the current developments as a pretext to impose a new reality in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza Strip.
For his part, President Sisi expressed Egypt’s condemnation of the attacks that targeted the Kingdom, affirming his country’s full solidarity with Jordan—its leadership and people—in facing the current challenges.
