Israel Announces First Strikes in Northern Iran Since Start of War

The Israeli army announced Wednesday that it has launched airstrikes in northern Iran for the first time since the start of the war against the Islamic Republic on February 28.اضافة اعلان

In an official statement, the Israeli military said: "The Israeli Air Force, based on naval and military intelligence, has begun targeting sites in northern Iran for the first time as part of Operation 'Lion's Roar'."

Israeli media outlets reported that the Air Force is targeting vessels belonging to the Iranian Navy in the coastal city of Bandar Anzali on the Caspian Sea.

The war broke out following a joint attack launched by the United States and Israel on Iran, before subsequently expanding across large parts of the Middle East.
