Customs: Seizure of Over 13,100 Cartons of Cigarettes, Large Quantities of E-Cigarettes, and Tobacco Products

The spokesperson for Jordan Customs announced today that the anti-smuggling directorate teams, in cooperation with security agencies, successfully seized 13,100 cartons of smuggled cigarettes along with large quantities of e-cigarettes, flavored tobacco (mu‘assel), and smoking accessories in two separate cases, carried out with high professionalism.اضافة اعلان
The statement added that the confiscated items included 13,100 cigarette cartons, 2,130 e-cigarettes, 13,800 packs of vaping liquids and e-liquids, 610 kilograms of mu‘assel, and 8,250 cigars. The seized materials have been placed under custody to take the necessary legal action, given the serious risks they pose to citizens’ health and safety, in addition to their negative impact on the national economy as a result of smuggling and circulation in the local market without meeting Jordanian standards or being approved by health regulatory bodies.
Jordan Customs also urged citizens to report any suspicions related to smuggling or harmful or counterfeit goods that could harm the national economy by contacting the toll-free number 105.
