Banks’ net revenue surge 242% in Q3

AMMAN — Financial data for the 15 banks listed on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) showed an increase of 242 percent in their net profits after taxes in Q3 of 2021, compared to the third quarter of 2020.اضافة اعلان

According to the data, the net revenue of banks after taxes in Q3 amounted to JD164.8 million, compared to JD48.2 million for the same period last year, with an increase of JD116.6 million.

Banks' profits in the first nine months of 2021 increased by 114 percent, compared to the same period last year, to JD461.3 million, compared to JD215.7 million in the first nine months of 2020.

Provision for credit losses decreased by 31 percent in the first nine months of 2021, to reach JD379.8 million, compared to JD553.5 million for the first nine months of 2020, according to Ammon News.
