King receives Royal committee’s final report

AMMAN (JNews) — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday received the Royal Committee for the Modernization of the Political System’s final report.اضافة اعلان

The chairman of the committee, Samir Al-Rifai, handed over the report. The committee finished its work on September 19, after approving a draft electoral law, according to Al-Ghad.

The committee previously approved the recommendations of four of its sub-committees in the form of two bills dealing with local administration and the political party’s laws, as well as recommendations to create a legislative and political environment that guarantees the role of youth and women in public life.

The committee was formed on June 10 and included 92 members and 6 sub-committees dealing with youth, women, local administration, election law, parties, and constitutional amendments.
