During a press briefing on Sunday, Al-Momani explained that the resilience of the Jordanian economy is evidenced by international ratings, which prove the Kingdom’s ability to manage disruptions with high efficiency.
Regional Cooperation and Strategic Projects
The Minister highlighted the significance of signing 10 agreements with Syria as a clear sign of increasing economic activity. He also underscored the depth of relations with Gulf nations, citing investment understandings with the United Arab Emirates. These include vital projects such as the Aqaba Port Railway, reflecting the government's commitment to translating plans into reality.
Al-Momani clarified that the railway system is not a substitute for trucks but rather a reinforcement of the Kingdom's transportation network. This enhancement aims to boost the economy's capacity for imports, exports, logistics, and general business operations.
Media Strategy and National Stability
He added that the government is operating under a media plan focused on highlighting positive economic indicators to bolster investor confidence, which in turn stimulates growth and job creation.
Closing his remarks, Al-Momani reassured citizens regarding the food security situation, noting that Jordan’s track record in recent crises serves as definitive proof of institutional readiness.
The Minister praised the role of the Jordan Armed Forces and Public Security in protecting the nation. He emphasized that the "rational and balanced political discourse" of the Hashemite leadership remains the fundamental pillar in overcoming the consequences of regional wars.
