The program explained, in a report monitored by "Al-Mamlaka," that it will continue to provide support to refugees residing inside camps at the current reduced level of 15 Jordanian Dinars (JOD) per person.

WFP noted that it provided assistance to approximately 585,000 individuals last April, transferring nearly $2 million in cash to beneficiaries. It highlighted that it urgently requires $20 million to cover its operations over the next six months.

The program has concluded the first phase of its camp activities in the Kingdom, targeting 230 young refugees with practical skills training to enhance livelihood opportunities and build resilience. This included 160 youths in the Zaatari camp and 70 in the Azraq camp.

The report also pointed out that approximately 192,000 Syrian refugees returned from Jordan to Syria during the period between December 2024 and the end of April 2026.

School Feeding Program
The report indicated that more than half a million students benefited from school feeding activities during April.

According to the report, around 106,000 students received healthy school meals in camps and local communities, while another 400,000 students received fortified date bars, with a total of 480 tons distributed.

Additionally, WFP supported the launch of 11 new projects for smallholder farmers in cooperation with the Agricultural Credit Corporation. These projects focus on utilizing climate-smart agricultural technologies and practices, as well as strengthening resilient agrifood systems.
