Speaking at a press conference hosted by the Government Communication Forum, Al-Khatib added that approval was granted to accept only 320 students in Dentistry across all public universities.
"These numbers encompass all competitive seats as well as seats reserved for Royal Beneficiary Grants (Makrumat)," he added.
He noted: "The minimum admission GPA for medicine is expected to rise compared to last year due to the restricted seat quotas and the competitive dynamics tied to the nature of this year's Tawjihi results."
He continued: "Human Medicine and Dentistry have now officially joined the ranks of heavily saturated majors, bordering on complete stagnation due to overwhelming pressure and large numbers of graduates both locally and internationally."
