UK: Advisory board does not recommend vaccines for healthy children

LONDON - The United Kingdom Vaccine Advisory has decided not to recommend vaccines to healthy children aged 12 to 15, but will provide vaccines to thousands more children with basic health problems. According to the BBC on Friday, "the available evidence suggests that the individual health benefits of the vaccine against COVID-19 are low for those aged 12 to 15 who do not have underlying health conditions that put them at high risk of infection." The Advisory Board added that the health benefit of extending the universal vaccination campaign to healthy children between 12 and 15 years of age is "minimal."
