Araghchi: Iran Has ‘Honored Its Commitments’ Under the Memorandum of Understanding with the United States

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Saturday that Tehran has “honored its commitments” under the memorandum of understanding with the United States, following U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement that the ceasefire had ended while also approving new rounds of talks.

In a post on X, Araghchi wrote:

“Iran has honored its commitments so far, unlike the so-called U.S. Treasury Secretary, who is violating Paragraph 9 of the memorandum of understanding.”

He was referring to a provision of the memorandum that stipulates the United States will not deploy additional forces to the region.
