Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said on Monday that Iran and the Oman held the first meeting of the joint committee on the Strait of Hormuz in Muscat.اضافة اعلان

In a post on the social media platform X, Gharibabadi said the two sides exchanged views on the sovereign rights of the two countries bordering the strait, as well as its future management, in accordance with the temporary agreement signed between Iran and the United States earlier this month.

Earlier, Axios cited a senior U.S. official as saying that the United States and Iran had agreed to halt all reciprocal strikes and attacks in preparation for talks scheduled to take place in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Tuesday to discuss the dispute over the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the report, a senior U.S. official, another U.S. official, and a source familiar with the matter confirmed that the meeting would be held on Tuesday. One U.S. official stated, “We have decided to stop all kinetic activities,” referring to military strikes and attacks.
