According to an official statement, the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs received a phone call from the Iranian Foreign Minister, during which they reviewed the mediation efforts between the United States and Iran, alongside discussing the latest updates on the Lebanese arena.

During the call, Al Thani affirmed Qatar's support for all endeavors aimed at containing the escalation and reaching a comprehensive agreement that contributes to enhancing security, stability, and achieving sustainable peace in the region.

In a separate phone call, Al Thani also discussed with Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, the mediation efforts between the United States of America and Iran.

The call addressed the coordination of efforts to support mediation aimed at lowering escalation, thereby contributing to the enhancement of security and stability in the region.

During the conversation, the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed the necessity for all parties to respond positively to the ongoing mediation efforts. This, he noted, would pave the way for addressing the root causes of the crisis through peaceful means and dialogue, ultimately leading to a sustainable agreement that prevents a renewal of escalation.
