UN Security Council to Discuss the Palestinian Issue on Monday

The United Nations Security Council is scheduled to hold an open session on Monday morning to discuss "The Situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian Question."اضافة اعلان

Assistant Secretary-General for Middle East Affairs, Mohamed Khaled Khiari, is expected to brief council members on the latest quarterly report by the UN Secretary-General regarding the implementation of Resolution 2334, which addresses Israeli settlement activity.

Adopted on December 23, 2016, Resolution 2334 calls on Israel to cease all settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem.

Following the open session, a closed consultation meeting will be held later the same day. (Petra)
