The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that an Israeli airstrike on the town of Burj Rahal in the Tyre district yesterday injured nine civilians, while another strike on the town of Zrariyeh in the Sidon district left a young girl seriously wounded, requiring intensive care.

According to Petra’s correspondent in Beirut, the Israeli military expanded its airstrikes on southern Lebanon and the Bekaa region, in a notable escalation that comes on the eve of the arrival of U.S. Special Envoy to Syria, Tom Barrack, in Beirut.
Barrack is expected to hold a series of meetings with Lebanese officials, during which he will receive Lebanon’s official response to the U.S. proposal calling for all weapons to be placed under the authority of the Lebanese state.
A Lebanese security source reported that an Israeli force advanced overnight from the Khallat Wardeh border area and reached the vicinity of the Aita al-Shaab municipality building.
