Israeli Officers Dismissed for Failure to Anticipate October 7 Attack

Israel’s Chief of General Staff, Herzi Halevi, announced on Monday the dismissal of several senior officers over the military’s failure to prevent the October 7, 2023 attack.اضافة اعلان

Halevi said, following an investigation into the events surrounding the attack, that he dismissed or disciplined top military commanders due to the army’s failure to “protect Israeli civilians.”

Among those affected by the decision are the head of Military Intelligence, Aharon Haliva; the commander of the Southern Command, Yaron Finkelman; and the head of the Operations Directorate, Oded Basiuk.
