The source added that the incident also caused limited damage to one of the cranes within the port facilities.

Oman condemned the attack, stressing that it is taking all necessary measures to preserve national security and ensure the safety of residents.

The Iran war erupted on February 28, following large-scale airstrikes carried out by the United States and Israel targeting vital facilities, military sites, and command centers in Tehran and several other cities. The strikes resulted in the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the first day, along with several senior officials and commanders, including Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, and prominent leaders of the Revolutionary Guard.

In response, Iran launched hundreds of missiles and drones toward Israel and countries in the region, while also closing the Strait of Hormuz, leading to a surge in energy prices.
